stumbly
Hi all,
I'm planning to take the family from
perth to Karajini /
Millstream / pt Samson in a months time. I only have 14 days to do the trip, and having never been up the inland road before (gt northern hwy) I was hoping some one could give me some advice for a couple of overnight stops on the way up?
If it was just me I would do it in 2 days but I don't think the kids ( teenagers ) would take the long stretches in the car so 3 days it is!
We are self sufficient with water and power and can get a bit off the highway with a 4.2td patrol and semi offroad windsor rapid.
Thanks in advance, Keith

Hi stumbly
The gascoyne has very little water in it at present. We were there about a 4/5 weeks ago and the bush flies were popular. Suggest you stop at the
Cue Info Cntr and get some of the fly repellant they sell there. Just in case. On tbe right hand side - it works!
Stop at Mt Magnet o/night and then Gascoyne River. Or, As you seem to have plenty of time,
Lake Nalan which is about 20 k north ok
Cue. Says no Camping , According to the Shire of
Cue 24hr O.K..You may be able to get longer if you get right off the road. It is RAilway land NOT
Nallan Stn as far as we know.
Tony
