Meggsy, there is a bloke on myswag.org who I know has just got one of these fridges and is away with it this weekend. Try that site after the weekend and I am sure he will be able to bring you up to speed.

I got one, it's great. Almost went the Engel, as years of proof is hard to ignore but the ARB is meant to be the best of Engel and Waeco. I think ARB achieved that.
The removable divider works
well, we find the 7lt warmer section is great for cheese, butter, veggies and the like. It's easy to clean and the light works
well.
I did find that the auto shut down feature ARB pinched from Waeco for battery protection; shut down my fridge at 12.02v instead of stated 12v. This had me wondering for a while why the fridge was not working, but this has been my only issue.

I won an ARB Fridge & have been running it for the past 5 months with no problems. The recently released tie down brackets make it easier to install.
The features that make a difference over my old Engel (1998 model) are the better lid hinge arrangement, controls at the front - previously I would accidentally turn the fridge up to high whilst opening the lid & the thermostat being hit by the transit cover. Being able to have both 12 & 240volt plugged in at the same time - don't have to pull the fridge out to change over. The handles are really solid, the light useful & a bonus is that the evaporator does not protrude into the storage area.
I have had the drain plug dislodge on rough tracks though.
My previous Engel was NOT the "Legend of Reliability" with compressor, fan & thermistor failures in the 10 years that I owned it costing over $800.00 in repairs & no support from Engel Customer Service (the compressor failed just out of warranty).
The service agent recommended to run the fridge 24 / 7 to ensure longevity & I have done this ever since.
Cheers, Tony
