Driving lights - Narva Ultima 175 Driving Lamp

Hi,

I'm new here. I'm in the market for some entry range drving lights for a trip in the western NSW with some friends. We don't want to be spending a huge amount of money on these as we won't be doing any hardcore 4wd but we need some decent lights none the less.
I've had a look at these Narva Ultima 175 Driving Lamp, but don't really know what to chose.
Any help/info/advice is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Mat

Hi,
I have the Narva Ultima 175's fitted to our Landcruiser and so far have found them quite good. They have done a trip to the cape and back, across the gulf, and a 13,000km southern trip without problems. I bought them as a reasonably price entry level light and am very happy with them. I think there has been a few threads on these lights over the years. Have a search of the threads and I'm sure you will find some useful info.

Cheers

I have a set of Narva lights on the Rodeo and find them more than adequate.

I originally bought a set of 2, the wide beam and spot ( pencil ) beam.

If I was buying again I would get the 2 wide beams as they give a better coverage of the road and the road edge where Kangahoppers and other beasties tend to hide .

To solve this problem I have added a second wide beam so I have left and right wide and a center pencil spot this works perfectly for me and I have just enough space on the bull bar to mount them :-)

I am using them almost 100% road use and the main problem with them now is the reflection from road signs is VERY bright at night !

Hi Mat,
I have had 2 sets of Narva Ultima 175's now (2 different vehicles) and found them to be great for my needs. Light output is really good, they're durable and not expensive. Would highly recommend them (no affiliation etc.).
Have had both 2 spreads, and a spread/spot combo - happy with either setup, just depends on your personal preference and needs.
Cheers, Mark.
