Hi guys and guyesses

Just thought I would drop you a line from my campsite here near Silverton.

I drove up from Waqgga this morning and have made camp about 15k out of Broken Hill on the Silverton Rd.

Just cooked a nice beef and red wine casserole (in the tin) and have had my 1st cold bacardi and coke.

It is very quiet here, clear skies but a bit cold - oh well just have to have another rum purely for medicinal purposes only of course :-)

Let the 4x4 at home this time so juts living out of the boot of the Ford - makes apleasent change to 'rough it' :-)

Ok gotta go - dinners ready

ps you can see where I am by going to the jasons link I put up

I had to take the car for a run to get the kms up or I will be hit with FBT so I am 'roughing it'

No outback redy 4x4 with all mod cons this time

Just the Ford, a gas cooker, Tent cot and a couple of drinks (medicinal purpose only)

I will turn a round and head back to wagga in the morning :-)

Lancie

The "Jasons' link is a place where I can store my trips that I have recorded using the SPOT Home page. This site allows me to keep the trips indefinitiely

The other place is at the SPOT website itself My SPOT website unfortunately the trip data only stays here for a few days and then it is lost

Doug

The reason I post is to communicate to my fellow formites something that I was doing and enjoying - it wasn't to pass an english spelling test

I reckon even with the spelling mistakes (you try typing standing up, with the puter perched on the roof of the car so I could get reception, with a headlight on and wearing gloves at 7c) I managed to do just that

We all make spelling errors, Geez I wasn't serious, as usual just having a little fun and a joke, please..... don't think I was being picky , T.I.C means tongue in cheek .

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tongue-in-cheek is a term used to refer to humor in which a statement, or an entire fictional work, is not meant to be taken seriously, but its sarcasm is subtle. The origin of its usage comes from when Spanish minstrels would perform for various dukes in the 18th century; these dukes would silently chastise the silliness of the minstrel's performances by placing their tongue firmly to the side of their cheek. The Oxford English Dictionary defines it as "Ironic, slyly humorous; not meant to be taken seriously".
