camp grounds in qld

good evening all.
we will be going to the qld theme parks over the school hollidays.
does any body know of a web site to find camping grounds not caravan parks please
ill like to thank you all in advance

also try here. We camp here every June long week end....nice and cold, and close to the creek. Not isolated, but nice area Can get real close to the creek, but the site are DIRT...not grass

There's a caravan park at Helensvale, directly opposite wet and wild. I know you said camp grounds not caravan parks, but this one has a large grassy paddock out the back where you can basically camp where you like. We used it a couple of years ago and set up a large camp with a couple of other families that we went with, and found it ideal. A caravan park that you could camp in without being too regulated. I cannot remember what it was called but it's the only one directly across the motorway from wet and wild.

The Camps Australia Wide books are your best bet. And having a look the two closest places are James Sharpe Park near Canungra and The Settlement Camping Area in Springbrook Nat Park.

Try Tamborine Mountain.... 30 mins away.... Can be busy weekends but beautiful during the week... Not bad weekends either.
