I don't mean to promote another site (I know a lot of you already visit it) but there is a very interesting post at the msn caravaners forum re legal liability for comments. I wasn't up to a summary so you'll have to check it out yourself.
(I'm sure you are all capable of finding it.)

Very interesting read especially with comments on advice to others. Makes one think about what one might say on forums. We are but such a fragile lot that our egos won't let us be critised or be defamed :-))) And of course we all take note if an idiot post suggests this or that :-)))
Cheers,
Willie

I am getting tired of this Yank-style Litigous BS.
Can't we just go back to being Australians where you can call a bloke ableepand he can call you a wanker...then you go and have a beer together and have a laugh about it afterwards....Cheers

Yes it is a pain and we have already had letters from lawyers threating us about all sorts of posts on the forum. We generally keep you all out of it but we have had a occasion where we basically deleted 70 odd posts because a cetain diesel servicing business in NSW decided that a single instance of an un happy customer was enough for him to attempt to sue us. What a lot of crap and waste of our time and money.

Keep it decent and factual and it stays on this system for all time.

As for testing swear words and our lanugage checking routines grow up I have better things to do than delete rubbish posted by stupid children. Blackie this is not directed at you only the idiots that posted the followups with the stupid words - these posts will be deleted.Regards

No they were named in this particular issue. Anyway I believe this particular business does this to everyone that publishing bad comments about them - THAT IS WHY THEY ADVERTISE IN MAGS. They will not publish negative stuff about anyone that pays them money even if it is true.Regards
