After driving nothing else except 4wds for as long as I can remember mid 1970s, I traded the Ford Exploder in for a new Ford Falcon Ute, for our business, you pull up at the traffic lights and a Toyota or Nissan 4by pulls up beside me and all I can see is the Door Handles, even Cross Overs or AWDs look bigger, have to strain
the neck to see what's ahead of me, I would hate to drive one of those little Ricebubbles like a Getz or some thing similar, it would be like sitting on a Skate Board, I'm getting used to the Ford Ute they are a good vehicle and great to drive up the M1 every day, but I reckon I'll have to borrow the Cooks Patrol every now and again so a bloke won't go completely crazy, I can understand why some motorists feel intimidated by 4wds if they are that way inclined, oh
well I might take the Patrol out tomorrow to fill it up lol lol.
Cheers

Daza,
while your out putting a couple of hunderd bucks in Patrol, could you fill up my little get to work car for me.
The very, very fast Hyndai XL 2 door sports, that averages 23.5 to 26 litres from Mackay to
Townsville, which is 400k. At night it has a problem with the fuel air mix as it constantly returns over 30 litres for the same trip, and that's on the downhill run from
Townsville to Mackay. OK!! OK!! I admit it, she just travels faster on the return trip at night.
I put up with looking up at anything bigger than a Pee Wee 50. I past an ole mate on the highway a few momths back in his W model Kenny and he gave me some about the riceburner. I asked him what it cost to paint his old girl and I said I could buy 100 buckets of rice for that and drive to Alaska and still have change for 20 bottles of our finest Bundy rum.
Have a good one

And just to add, that dinky cruiser I have in my photo was run over by a Hyundai Getz

Daza,
Being in the plumbing game i took advantage of the investment allowance and updated my previous BA ute for the new FG R6 ute with the E gas engine two weeks ago. What a great road car with the XR6
suspension and just got 610 from a tank of gas on a tight motor on a small trip with 67 left on the range.Bit good to put
tools in at the moment so just for running around and still have the disco 2 for trips away which is a great tourer and the transporter which is built for work.
Cheers Mark
