Kalumburu and Mitchell Falls and dogs

Can you visit Kalumbur and/or Mitchell Falls if you are travelling with a dog in the car? Eg could you camp at King Edward River campground and then do a day trip to mitchell fall but then would have to skip Kalumbura.
Sorry if this is already covered on your website, but I've done a lot of reading to prepare an itinerary for a WA/NT 3 months 4wd/camper trailer trip so may have missed it, and having not travelled the area I wasn't sure whether it was possible or if we'd have to skip it.

Would seem a pity to miss areas like this because of the dog.
Is leaving it/them at a kennel somewhere an option so your not limited in where you can go?

Gents,

your being a bit harsh. Expecting someone to research stuff using a search engine like Google or Trek Notes.

You obviously don't get it. When you want to know something get everyone else on a forum else to do the work for you.

That's what these forums are all about Wizard, getting info from other people that have actually done the trek, Some people actually enjoy passing on knowledge recieved form experience!

If you're keen on Mitchell falls (which shouldn't be missed), I'd make some enquiries with Drysdale Station. It's a long shot but they may have facilities for caring for your pet for a couple of days while you do the trip in. Worth a shot. They have a website which will no doubt have an email address.

Cheers Mick

No problem at King Edward River.
No problem at Kalumburu either, except you will need to keep the mut under tight control. The local muts might take exception to an interloper......

Hey Karen,
We will be doing this trip on our way around too, with our 2 muts! hopefully soon, but still sorting out some speed humps.
We know we will miss out a fair bit of the 'tourist must see's', but anything and everything is a bonus. To us camping, IS with our dogs, so no option to kennel them while we're gone.
Good luck with the trip!
