Thanks very much to all the blokes who responded to my enquirey re.5 speed gear box for my HJ47.I think I,ll go for the cheapest and less complicated option and and get some bigger tyres maybe 265x16,regards Stephen.

would steer you towards BFG 33/12r or 10r, or 35x12r is even better.
265 is only 32 inches, there are 255x85x16 or 285 75 16 at 33 inches diameter aswell. then there is the Goodyear m/t 37 12r ...yum..
Just remember that the difference between 2nd and 3rd will be further appart with bigger tyres, so slowing down to 80km/hr might be the best option.
