Hello Shane...

Well... I'm pretty close in the Grand Scale of things...
Broken Hill - Ceduna 881 km
cf Broken Hill - Cairns 2,230 km

So I take it you live in Ceduna..??
So what's there to see..??
Why should us vanners go there..??

Yeah - I've been there... Plenty haven't...
If every vanner who comes to Ceduna spends $100 locally - then if 100 vanners come there over a year, thats $10,00 to your community...

Think not of who LIVES in your community...
Think MORE of who may visit your community...

MMM-some detective work and much thought brings me to the conclusion that he wants to know if there is anyone on here who lives in Ceduna.

This query seems to have caused great confusion amongst the ranks?

I won't be going back to Ceduna.
I had just spent my $150 at the shop and had just moved off and undid my seatbelt to slide the seat forward doing less than 20 kph and got pinged $275. While the DH was writing the first ticket ever for this 64 yo. two unregistered dirt bikes no helmets hurtle past. Mates of the DH ???? probably.

Pinko

You use the term DH. I would have thought that that term was more suited for a person who drove off with their seat incorrectly adjusted and took their seat belt off to do adjust it.

I lived in Ceduna years ago. Great place. Good to see that the police there are still doing a great job.

Pinko,

I think you've got a fair beef with some trumped up public servant wearing a gun.

Cheers,

Jim.

Yes Jim
I did have a beef. And having two guntoters in the family neither would have done the paperwork in my circumstance.

I lived there for 12 years working in the Road house, Caravan park, and farming game. Explored the Googs, in the 4wd the bay in the boat, and all over the place on my TT 500.

Still have family there,

What do you wan't to know.

I can tell you for nothing it's hot dusty and windy in the afternoons.

Cheers.

Well I guess your question could have read "Anyone have access to a tinnie in Ceduna, borrow or hire?" But I agree, imaginations run wild.

Put an Ad in the West coast Sentinel the local rag. But I do actually re call a boat hire place recently for tinnies, so you might be in luck!
Google it up and look in the classifieds.

Maybe even call the Ceduna sailing club, they might have what your looking for.

Sorry we don't have tinnies got a 7.2 6.9 and a 5.0 metre gas guzzlers.

Cheers.

Don't like your chances, Shane. I can't recall any boat hire places in Ceduna.
Looking at your profile pics, I'm guessing you want to go back to Davenport Creek with the van and a boat?

Cheers

Mate in 1977 when I was 14 I took my Yamaha TT 500 there and the sand hill next to the creek I could not climb with the bike, 40 foot high and a razor back, 12 years ago my kid could have climbed it with her tricycle.

Erossion and constant tearing up sort of killed it, mind you I haven't been there for 12 years now I settled on the East coast.

But I'm stil hopping the locals haven't loose lipped the other 3 better places, mind you that was years ago as welll ! I''ll ask me big bro if those places have changed for the worse.

Send me your private email there troopy I'll see what I can do, you know secret local knowledge stuff.

Cheers.

Yeah, any info would be appreciated, thanks for that :-)
Email is in my profile.

When I was last there about 18 months ago, I couldn't get over the big dune towing my tinny...had to back down and take the easy way out.
I think like all coastal dunes, the wind plays the biggest part in the changing size/shape of the dunes...I was there during a sandstorm once, and got some good pics of the sand literally 'pouring' off the top of the dunes.

Cheers
Glenn

p.s. sorry for the thread highjack Shane

Shane, I can't believe the way people replied to your query. As far as I can see you are entitled to ask your question however you choose - and for whatever reason you choose. On you.
I'm sorry that I can't lend you my roof top tinnie but I will be using it in approximately the same area at the same time - so I hope you don't get all the fish and crabs. Good fishing to you, and I hope the same for me!
