Well, I won't go fishing at the Servo where the
pic was taken, but I regularly fish nearby.
The
pic was taken at
Borroloola last year. The
young local kids had been teasing and throwing tucker (including a couple of dogs apparently) to a big croc near the town. When the adults found out, they thought they should remove the croc, so set traps. The claim is that after the croc was captured, the kids said 'wrong one'. That is the local story anyway.
I'm at King Ash Bay, just down the river from
Borroloola.
No fishing at the moment as the
McArthur River is in serious flood as a result of Cyclone Paul, though the worst has passed. The river reached 10 m at the main causeway near town (8.5m above the road). But has now dropped to about 9m. Hopefully there will be no more rain for a week or two to let the water get away.
Fortunately we have enough food, beer etc for a while as all roads are cut for a while.

Ive had these exact same photos sent to me about 6 to 8 months ago,does the name Pisani ring a bell to you ?
