Hi all and Happy Easter

I have been playing with a net book and remote (hard wired ) touch screen, it was working the other day but then stopped, IT mate found lead was faulty (after chacking all other options) so ordered new lead.
now wont run, touch screen just "no sync"

I wonder if IT mate changed something while looking for fault?

I am not sure how to re "sync" is it difficult?

What other causes / fixes are possible?

on start up it some times flashes the windows start up screen for a couple of seconds but thats all then blank.

regards

Is the right input selected. There are often three: AV1 AV2 and VGA. Push button to toggle between them.

Hi Bob

where are the buttons to do this, sorry probably basic but we are computer challenged in some ways.

Also we have found that we can connect to the touch screen but it does NOT work as a touch screen but has become an extension of the main netbook screen - it seems to be on the right or above ie if we move the mouse off the main screen (netbook) it appears on the touchscreen.

What can we do to fix this? we were hoping to go on a drive and use it tomorrow!

Thanks

OK

It sounds like it is a computer setup issue.

Go to Control Panel, Display and click the settings tab. Here you will see the remote display and the laptop display. You can select which is the main display by dragging them around.

Hi Bob

if we go to to the settings you say and we select
"ëxtend my windows desk top onto this monitor"
it will then display the back ground of the main screen but no desk top icons and you can move the mouse to the right off the main screen and then it appears on the touch screen.
You can drag icons off the main screen to the right to the touch screen and open them on the touch screen but the touch screen is not working as a touch screen, just from the main screen controlls.

its like the touch screen is just and addition to the main screen, not a duplication!

any ideas?
