Hi,

Regularly take the wife and dog to Bell's Rapids in the Swan Valley for a day trip and a hike, and would love to camp there, but you're not allowed.

Can anyone suggest places of a similar nature where we can take the dog and can camp?

Prefer something away from main roads where we can just kick back, relax, and enjoy!

Cheers,

Jason.

Try Ravenswood C/Park betwene Mandurah and Pinjarra
-or Heron Point - 20k's further south on the Peel Estuary - no power or water but has flushing toilets - normally $10 per night but after 31/4 its free (both allow dogs) great water views

Lane pool reserve at near Dwellingup sounds exactly what you have asked for.
Some of the campsites near the water include Baden Powell, Stringers and Nanga Mill. There are plenty of others.

Enjoy

If you keep driving from baden powell and past the last llot of recognised campgrounds there arre many tracks down to the river which have secluded 1 spot camping areas.

In summer especially its best to go during the week. As busy as the place is on the weekend its empty during the week

Guilderton is another one. Not sure where you can camp but the caravan park there is right on the river.
