Hi all
Got some holidays coming up in September, yes I know its a long way off, so I am looking for some suggestions of where to go. I really wanted to head off to the
Vic High Country but in checking the trecks on this website it looks like lots of tracks may be closed and its damn cold that time of year.
So I am looking for something similar, not a big fan of desert tracks at this stage.
I will be travelling with 2 kids (4 and 6) so would like to be some where the kids can get out and run around on some grass and kick the ball around etc. Don't mind staying in 1 place and doing day trips or moving
camp every couple of days.
So throw your ideas at me and help me find somewhere nice to go with my family.
Cheers
Andrew

we did a weekend trip to the
Grampians in August last year (my boys were 3,5 &7). Did lots of walking down to the bottom of
McKenzie falls etc. I reckon we could easily have spent a couple of weeks there. My boys still talk about it as one of our favourite holidays (it was a spurr of the moment - itchy feet - had to get out type trip).

Hi
Am assuming you are Vic located - agree with previous post,
Grampians offers good stuff; what about the
Otways;
check out www.parkweb.vic.gov.au plus the trek bits here on EO.
If you want to try further afield, what about popping into SA for a Flinders Range run; but..... still could be a bit cool in Sept. Lots of nice driving (vsarying difficulty) and tourist stuff there; choice of possibilities for camping / accommodation. We have been there in mid winter - did not snow but it may as
well have; it was pretty chilly at night.
Check out Member - Prickle (SA)
Blogs on a couple of trips in SA - Bendelby Ranges and
Googs Track. In fact
check out the
Blogs and search for possibilities there, can offer some interesting info on potential
places for trip(s).
Cheers
Graham
