The sign is for everyone else, not them.

They are very important and special people! Why would they care about the efforts someone else is making to maintain an oval! Surely they could have found another spot! Of course they are also the ones who spoil free camping for the rest of us! They probably left their rubbish there too! No wonder the anti camping signs and barricades are increasing everywhere! G'day everyone

Yes ~ some people choose to ignore signs believing they know better than the person or organization responsible for originating the sign.

I just hope those campers never come across this sign or one like it, because they get Zapped ~ on the other side of the gate ~ seriously they will ~ ;0)

Hi Cookie and Di,
Was that at New Norcia( Looks like their oval) as we saw heaps doing the same thing over Easter weekend. We were up there doing some work on one of the engines and the brothers are such nice people that people just take advantage of the camp site they provide.
cheers Julie and Brain

Yes it is New Norcia, very peaceful place except for the highway going through the middle of it. The camper did leave the place clean, just hope he cleaned up after his dog.

Damn, im usually foot flat through New Norcia. The only town in the world that gives me a real eerie feeling everytime i pass through.. Lovely place though, those buildings are unreal.

But its still creepy.

Ignorance / Can't read ? Just a tad harsh on the comments , 1 paper sign facing away from the vehicles travel direction , no gates or fence ,just a wide open space ,,,

Maybe he was just blind, as he drove past the sign to get to where he was. And if he paid for the nights he stayed & read the Information sheet that was given to him he would of known where to park & where not to park.
