Lyn, you'd better hope Al doesnt get to the same no as willie

Willie, my first car was a 1938 Vauxhal Wyvern sedan
2nd was a 1937 Vauxhal Wyvern tourer ( I think they called it that as it had a canvas top)

But take away the company supplied cars and you can count mine on one hand and still have two digits left over. If you search the archives you can find out what it was. I'll never live long enough to get ay where near your no's.....but geeez you've had some goodens (Classics today)in that lot. You'd be a millionaire if you'd saved every penny but, lol

Cant count hers as they are and have always been registred in her name. but hers aint that many since I married her anyway. Ford ltd, Vn Commodore, 96 landcruiser, and of course the last one, I gave her!Wow! am I cute

Hi Mrs Al,

The best cars were the Opel Kadett, Renault R10, Commodore V6.
The best 4x4's were Suzuki LJ 50, Suzuki 1.3 JX, Nissan Patrol MQ 80, Nissan Patrol G60

Hi Richard,
Would loved to have still owned that Cooper S. British Racing Green, Big spotties and Avon extra wide rims and tyres. Would clock 200kmh any day. Used to drive it so hard the dust used to filter out of the hood lining.
Hit a Police Riot wagon on the outskirts of Johannesburg at 4am one morning. That's another story. The Cooper was repaired but was never the same after that. Poor Mini !

Willie, I forgot thats where you were from.

Lyn & willie,

The tourer I bought in around 1967 (=/- 1) came with the original tyres and and the spare had never been used. doesnt sound outstanding until you remeber that this was a 1937 vehicle. The bloke, a mate of my dad, I bought it from, never drove it very much and hence the tyres being original. he bought it new!! Same as my first rifle...he had it from new and never used it!

Wish I had kept that thing now instead of cutting it up and using it as spares for the sedan.
Wish I had kept both.

Wow! am I cute

The 929 looked very nice (coupe shape) but was severely short on grunt.
Des, I'm working my ring off :-) The BM is ten years old and surprisingly cheap. I got it two years ago for $30,000 and it only had 55 k on the clock. The Lexus is only worth $50,000 (now, if I'm lucky). There was a BM 318i in there about ten years ago too which I forgot.Bob

G'day Wombat,
That was in South Africa........I had become car-less for a variety of reasons and found this old banger for R50(then about $50). Did not appreciate the true value of the Olds at that time but it tided me over. Then it had a problem and I left it in the street with the Council finally removing it and sending me a bill. But by that time I had relocated to Darwin!!

BTW I have had 102 jobs until forced retirement in 2001. Just goes to show that a rolling stone can get to lots of places.

Willi, Willie, Willie.

What have you done?

You have got 'them' popping out of rabbit burrows all over, however I would be 'bleepand amazed' if anyone has the audacity to dream up a list bigger than yours.

That is impressive mate and to say I'm gobbed-smack is an understatement.

At first I just thought of all the rego's, tyres, oil & fuel changes you must have put into these suckers and then gave up and went to sleep.

If you get the Troopy you will have the 'ton'.
