Heather you are allowed to keep them in NSW lakes , but they must be returned in rivers.
Scrubby how are you, I like silvers about a kilo to eat if not to weedy tasting.
Fred in Nov last year I was fly fishing Windy with a large wooly buggar, I had retrieved most of the fly line when I got and unbelievable hit. I only had about 5 feet of fly line out plus the leader anyhow I was to to slow to react and the 12lb tippet broke.
Anyhow about a week later a old fishing mate of
mine pulls this large Wooly buggar out of his pocket and asks me if it is one of
mine, which it was even if it was a bit the worst for wear. Perplexed I asked him where he found it, O stuck Under the jaw of a 9lb Silver Perch he replied. You can imagine my reply, as I has only shown him my hotspot a few weeks before.
Anyhow I am going to get one next year, I just have to learn to ignore those 5kg Goldens
Cheers Pete
