Any recommendations on a USB TV Tuner for a Toshiba Lap top please?

Hi Ian,

I have an Imac computer and use an Elgato tuner, it works a treat and is available in digital only or a combination of anologue and digital, google it and you wiil get all the information. I am not sure if it is a mack only bit of gear but you should be able to find ths out.

Mate I've tried 3 over the years and I reckon they are all pretty ordinary. They either freeze the computer or the video and sound get out of sync. Good in theory and cool when working but dodgy in my experience. The antenna is a hassle in a tent as well :-)
Maybe others have had better experiences but I reckon you can't beat a disk full of avi movies or tv shows for on the road entertainment.

No good if your using an old or slow computer...the require a good video card and fast processor, or you get freezing, poor picture quality and bad audio.

Hi, I have an Acer laptop and a Aver Media Hybrid + FM Cardbus plug in card , it comed with a remote as well, and FM radio just plug it in and connect the antenna and full HD digital TV.
we have used all over SA and in QLD as well.
It also has analog receptions as well . when we were in Cobar last year they didn't have digital . so just ran the auto tune and all good.
When travelling I just use the van Std T bar antenna .
It cost about $148.00 I think? . Mate gave me a cheaper one ( $84.00) when he updated to Aver Media, it is a MSI Mega Sky 580 only works in the town , not a patch on the new one.
