I was told a few years ago that HF radios from W Aust are mostly ex mine units not suggesting they are no good so I suppose a message to the seller may clarify the question. Sometimes the mining people trade them to a new supplier & obviously the old trade in's are sold off.

Perhaps doing that would have been better than casting aspersions on the seller.

He seems genuine enough.

I sold a Codan in WA a few months ago.

It certainly did not come under your assumption.

Hi Graham, You suggest that I am casting aspersions (attacking someone's reputation) Well I am not. I do not know the seller or your reputations if in fact you both have one!! I was merely trying to add a little to your post & I am not assuming anything either. You see assume is an acronyl making an ass out of you and me. I would never attempt anything so rude. Unlike your attack on me. Are you too sentitive Graham?

Im not sensitive. I took your remarks to infer that perhaps the stuff was old mine discards.
It may or may not be, but following a request to the seller I will know.

I will then post it here.

Remarks about what happened years ago are really not relative.

A bit like saying "I did the GRR in 1990 and it was as flat as a billiard table".

Its probably not like that at the moment.

I was posting the link to be helpful to others who maybe wanted to buy one.

I wonder why I bother sometimes.

If someone wants one they can contact the seller and form their own opinion.
