I met a guy when I was on Fraser a couple of weeks ago who works with kids from the stations near where the NPWS relocated some of the dingoes from Fraser. (At great expense I presume)
These dingoes, being used to human contact, ended up finding the
farm houses etc and hanging around a bit much.
Chickens and household garbage etc.
Guess what happened to the dingoes?
Farmers don't really appreciate them snooping around the house do they?
Waste of taxpayers' money? (I suppose they had to try)
Just thought it might be interesting.
cheers

Yes, we know exactly what happened to the dingoes that were dumped in our area, as they stalked kids when they played in their own yard, killed poultry and farmstock. What makes matters worse is dingoes are now looked on as pets in tourist areas by city slickers who have no common sense in the animal world. As this drought goes on, we should be aware, especially in
places where they are being humanised, as they will kill to eat, anything.

I wonder if they knew beforehand what the end result was likely to be and they just had to spend the money to keep the "Greenies" off their backs.
I can totally understand your response.
Cheers
