Hi David,Yeap from one of the shops, $80/ 20litres for diesel. How long you going for? If for a week, fill up before you go and take an extra 40 litres with you. I think limit is around 30litres can't remeber.

I remeber you can buy fuel from MICAT shop. If you bring back the drum you get $35 dollars return. Don't forget your jiggle hose or siphon hose.

Thanks for the info,
We are booked on the 8:30am barge in the morning, camping in the North Eastern zone.
Its been a while since i have been to the Island. Can you buy fire wood from the barge?

not that i can recall, i went via the kooringal trader via stradbroke

this year we will be going via micat.

i know you can buy it on the island, my suggestion would be to buy it on the mainland and cart it over, but if you want to support the islanders, go for it.

can't remember prices sorry.

Pretty sure you can buy firewood on the barge. Give them a call or check website to confirm.
