Has anyone purchased goods from F & C Mining in NSW. I ordered a replacement LED interior light for Jayco caravan some weeks ago but not received. They do not respond to emails and the telephone calls are loop from mobile to land line. Voice message states not available and no message can be left, call back later. Seven calls later still the same. They have my money so looks like I might have been scammed.

How did you pay for it

If by credit card you can do a charge back through the bank up to 60 days after receiving your statement.

Also Paypal is a good way to pay for things with their fraud protection.

If you direct credited the money wave out the window.

Best of luck

Looks like an OK website and they say they have been in business for 12 years Several different contact numbers on their "Contact Us " page

Try a fax threatening action if no contact and leave your number.

Just a tip that I have used.

If they do not have a listing in either the White Pages or the Yellow Pages with a physical street address do not deal with them using pay before you recieve.

Regards,
Cam

Thanks for your feedback. Paid by direct deposit so money looks like it has gone. Fortunately not much. Tried emailing them again today and guess what it came back. Will be reporting this mob so be aware of F & C Mining with web address of www.fcmining.com. I also found a www.fcmining.com.au which is a new site under construction but same mob.

No you can still get it back thru the bank, its a pain in the donkey, but doable, the only problem is if they don't want to give the money back then you got two options fight or surrender and lose.

good luck

Hi Graham H
Have tried their phone numbers. First couple of times I could leave a message but last 6 times get the not available message and you can not leave a message. Even tried after hours and then get the loop from mobile to land line. My first email to them when through but the one this morning to their supply department just came back.

Two thing I noticed is....

There phone and fax number is the same.

This is usually a good indication of how professional and big a business is, I'm not knocking small operators who do this but in most cases it means they are a one man band with a limited customer base.

And the second thing is they only list a PO Box and not a bricks and mortar address.

This indicates they are a very small operator with no real business address.

Hi all
Have resolved the matter. After dozen calls have eventually got hold of f & C Mining Products and they are legit. Evidently their message bank was full, and likely email box full hence no contact for nearly 2 weeks. Manager was very good says has had lot of staff off crook and he has been away. He is going to sort out my order ASAP and fix their system. So OK to trade with them.

Thanks for all the comments and hints, me much wiser now.

I cant believe there is a lot of staff, the excuse is not valid. As Olcoolone said,, one phone and fax number....... it definalely is a one man band, but if you get your goods,, thats the main thing.. Michael

In our business, 5 years ago we would have sent about 20 faxes a day, now we would be lucky to send 3 a week!
Also with a lot businesses using MFCs it is not unusual to use the same number, why waste a line for the odd fax?

Thanks Steve
I have eventually contacted the business and has all be sorted. Evidently phone and email overload problems with staff away. In any event they were very apologetic and acted on my order immediately to the extent promised a discount for the trouble.
Suggested they upgrade their phone and email system to avoid this sort of thing happening again and loss of business.
