Looking for EOTrackMe PC Testers

Hi all,
I am looking for a few members to test the newest EOTrackMe client. This is called EOTrackMe PC and is designed for a laptop or PC system running Windows and/or OziExplorer (not a CE or Mobile device). This new client integrates with OziExplorer if you have it installed or stand alone. So if you travel with a laptop system running in the vehicle that is connected to the Internet (via USB device or mobile phone connection) then I need you.

EOTrackMe PC will store all positions if you are out of service and in fact will record your entire journey without a network connection (it will upload the whole thing when you plug you PC back in). However for this test I really want to try to get some people who move around with the laptop running.

So please if you are moving around a fair but and have the ability to do some basic testing (it will not take long). Then please respond to this thread and I will be in touch with you to install and license the program.

jlAU,
I am working on that implementation also but it will be a little longer away the API for Ozi is a little weaker on the CE version. The PC version has all the fruit and in fact I have now worked on delivery of relevant information from places directly to your OziExplorer while you are in tracking mode. So soon you will be able to push a button and say show me all the places around me and the system will deliver then as either waypoints or map features. Also it will be able to deliver waypoints & routes directly from trek notes for your current area - this is really cool and the system will configure your OziExplorer to auto route based on your current location and your chosen destination or treknote.

I guess you can say the EOtrackMe PC system if coupled with OziExplorer will add real time driving information, road conditions, places information etc directly to your map whilst you are travelling as well as the EOTrackMe functions being shown to your family/friends etc.

The PDA version can do some of this stuff but more will come clear when I get further into the code of this system. I have made a start and am just working out the best approach. Will let you know when we get further down the track!

Ian,

Are you setting up a laptop type device in your vehicle?
Will you be using an Internet connection either via phone or usb dongle?

The PC software does not need to be connected all the time it will store all updates when you are out of service and will dump them down when you next connect. If you are setting up this type of solution let me know?

This is a good setup and please have a go at the system. It is basically released now and fully available on the EOTrackMe index page - have a look at the documentation and information posted in there. If you need any help please let us know - you can download the program and check it out.

Thanks for that - ah I will dig out the order and plug it in for you. I have not had a full chance to fully automate the purchase function for the software as yet so it is a manual process for me to plug in the license - I will get onto it right now and confirm your device rego shortly.

John,
I found the order - thanks. It has highlighted a bug for me - I forgot to add the field to ask you to enter the rego code. Could you please email me the code and your member number to david@exploroz.com - the code I need is the DeviceID that is show in EOTrackMe PC. Sorry for the stuff up.
