Driving advice from Birdsville to Innamincka via Corillo Downs

Hi Guys,

I was reading an archived thread so couldn't post a follow up.

Just want to know if the the road from Noccundra hotel to innamincka to cordillo downs to birdsville is suitable for towing a caravan (Lotus Trooper) Fully off road?

and how many days would you allow?

Yep, not a problem....its just a dirt road, although the dry creek beds can be a bit rocky......just slow down for them and you will have no problems at all....

If the roads are wet out there, then that may be a different problem all together !!

Birdsville and Strezlecki were closed 2 weeks ago when we headed up that way. They have had some substantial falls up that way over recent weeks. Had to do Oodnadatta track instead.

Hi Oztours,
We traveled the Cordillo downs road about 10 yrs. ago.
It was rocky & corrugated as hell. All who we met on the way agreed. We took it slowly & were O.K.We let the tyres down to what they could handle with the sharp rocks.
It might be a different story now, you may need a boat!.
