Read a review from matchbox dated Feb 2 2010 re. these fridges. Does any one have any more info to add re. the quality of this unit.

Hi Christo,

I bought one of these off Ebay last year before our July trip. It is mounted permanently in the back cab area on a timber base with the back seat removed. It is conected to a second battery in the tray. For the July trip it was turned on set at just above freezing for the whole trip with a full month of food including meat, cold meats, eggs, bacon etc and went without a hitch. Didnt have any food go off, meat was all vacuum packed.

It has stayed in the car and gets turned on every now and then for weekend/day trips and never has a problem. Some days it ran off the battery with the carr not charging the battery for 2 solid days without the battery running down. Sorry i dont have any data on how much it draws etc.
