My son recently purchased a 2010 Navara D22 Dual cab diesel which came standard with twin batteries but the way its wired it is not a twin isolated system but in line to just boost the capacity. if you disconnect one battery completely the terminals are still live, a trap & quite dangerous the local Auto Electrical could not believe that it could be legal the way it is (after a big short out) has any body else had this problem
regards Vince
Still awaiting responce from nissan

I just fitted a dual battery system to my 05 model and went to a auto leccy for some advice and he said I was lucky not to have one of the later models as it costs aprox $1000 for some computer box to overcome that problem. So there must be a way to do it but it will cost !!!!!

swampy your right its a lot cheaper to simply fit a third battery as a stand alone & leave the Original 2 alone. Have now fitted a large warning sticker. but as its now, a work cover problem (burns) it will be interesting to see want comes of it
