Waeco CF40.....question.

I have owned this great fridge for about two years and cannot understand why there is no bottom to the wire basket. On my old Waeco I could load the basket up in the kitchen and carry it out to the fridge. It"s a bit hard with no bottom. Any ideas anyone??

Hi daveinozbikes,

All the ones I have seen have a bottom.
My CF80 has a bottom in both baskets as well, not sure why yours has not got them.

Cheers
Simon.

Mines a bit older and no bottom.Assumed that the wire grid was to protect the walls

mine is same as yours. i thought the "basket" we have is actually not a basket but designed to protect the inierior walls from damage from anything rolling around inside whilst 4wdriving. but i have been know to be wrong, just ask swmbo. i havent really thought of it as a basket before, and havent really had issues loading or unloading it. however if i am wrong and our baskets are faulty, i will be happy to receive a replacement too :)

Pradoz...is your basket a bit tight and the loops higher than the part between the dairy and main compartments? Mine is.... You should also contact Waeco in Oz and ask them about it. I just emailed them from a site on Google. Just search for " contact waeco". Thanks for the reply.

yes exactly same as you said: tight fit, loops high etc. i am pretty sure back then they were made simply to protect the interior of the fridge from breakage. let us know how you go.

i am happy to email waeco, but think it would be better to hit them with 2 (or more if there are others) exact same emails coming from different directions. if you want to email me what you sent and then i will put my name and details to it less yours and send. what do you think. my email is : v8footy AT hotmail DOT com.

I also have afriend that has an account with waeco as a distributer for their products so maybe able to talk with him about it if we hve no luck. He is quite ill at the moment so not sure how much he could do right now though, cheers mick
