Good morning Everyone,

Does any one have or know where you can get an outside shower rail preferably one that folds flat against the van, or one that can be attached to the side and lifted off when travelling. We have seen photo's of a couple they appear to be made of plastic tubing if any one's made one can they share the details please? (bought the Shower tent that goes up in 2 mins but took us 30 mins to get it folded back again!!)

By the way many thanks to all the feed back on inverters have bought one from Derek.

Cheers Joe.

Camec or Coast to Coast RV would be good places to start.

Just remember you are attaching it to 2mm or less soft alloy so unless it is screwed into a stud it wont hold much.

Our current caravan came with an external shower in a small lockable hatch.

When we took delivery there was a packet containing a small bracket that the shower head slots into. I fixed this with stainless screws to the appropriate position to one side of the hatch but higher up.
Works fine for us.

Hi Sue & Joe,

I have seen one setup where they had the loop for the shower fitted on to perm mounted fixtures on top rail of the van and supported on other 2 corners with modified tent poles they arranged this in vicinity of their hot water box.shower head was supported also ff side of the van. Frame work could easily be made to fold down and stay connected, and sit in box at base of van.Shelter fabric is only thing may have to store inside.......now i have given myself ideas......more work coming up.......hahaha

Hi Everyone,

Many thanks again , great to get other peoples coments.

Kevmac, if you get anything in the pipeline we would be interested! Will persevere with the pop-up have tried camec and all other places with no luck .

Our big trip starts in 3 weeks, going clockwise around because of the possible extended wet season will be in W.A. end of March-April by the time we get to the top end hopefully it will be dry!!!

Happy and Safe travelling to all.

Sue & Joe,

Some of those pop up showers can be a pain.
In case you haven't tried it, make sure you put the big end into the little end, opposite to what you would think, then cross your eyes and twist.
If that dont work then throw it away and go buy another but make sure the salesperson shows you how to fold it up. If he cant do it dont buy that one look for another.
Our first one ended up in the tip, the second one folds itself.

Jeff.
