Hi guys
I am in the market for a new dualcab, mainly using for towing caravan (20ft)
Beach driving a little medium 4wding and to trek to work :)
I have been looking at :
Navara, Triton, DMax, Colorado and BT50/
Ranger.
My local ORE says that buying any of these wont get me a bad vehicle...
unfortunatly I cant make up my mind and sales men are exactly that.
Any idea's for you guys would be awesome.
Many thanks

Hi Chris,
check, go auto's, review of the new V6 TD navara, 7sp auto. which should be on show room floors by now. bit pricey.
they did not say anything about the tow capacity, but I'm sure one of the salemen should know.
cheers Tom

The engine sounds great, only available in 3 colours and it will cost you over $60k. Towing capacity of 3000KGs is amazing in a ute. Couldn't find info on fuel and some other features.

Hi Chris,
any of the above will be great, to be honest any new vehicle is great !! we have an LTr colorado and cannot fault it so far ( 12 months 45,000 ks ) and tows our van with ease ( 15' off road ) the only complaint i have heard about with the colorado is the 4 speed auto being abit dated but in my humble opinion it is
well matched to the vehicle, and i would guess the d-max is the same. Enjoy your purchase any new vehicle is great

Hi Chris, we drive a 2010
Ranger XLT and have been very happy so far with 10,000km on the clock. Have had some issues with cruise control which hopefully Ford will rectify soon, but overall the vehicle has been great. Goes very
well on
the beach and bush tracks, about to put it to the
test in outback NT and SA in March. One good thing with the vehicle is it comes with a decent amount of standard equipment, and proper All Terrain typres (Bridgestone) which a lot of utes do not as standard. We have modified with a TJM steel bar, Lightforce 170s and an Airtek
Snorkel - all fit very nicely to the vehicle. Cheers, Vin.

Hello Chris
This is a regular question here and I don't mean to be rude but it you do a search you will see it has come up a couple of times ieven in the last week or so. And you will see that I usually chip in with my 2c worth about my Ford
Ranger that I have had for 2 years and have been happy with.
As for the salesmen,
well in my case i did a lot of research on
places like here, other forums, the manufacturers' websites and
places like carsales.com to get indicative pricing etc.
After factoring in things like prices, equipment levels, reputation from other users etc I had pretty much made up my mind before I set foot in a dealership. It was then a case of a
test drive and how much? It was the easiest sale the guy ever got I reckon.
Cheers
rocco
