Not sure on that particular model but I have been told direct from waeco that their cheaper range with the Chinese compressors are not as frugal on battery power as their danfross compressor models

The CDF-11 has the Wanbao (Chinese) compressor, Only 2 year warranty. Danfoss has 5 year warranty. But in such a tiny fridge it wouldn't be working too hard. RRP is $499. Have to go to a CF 25 to get Danfoss comp. All CDF models are Chinese compressors, also the CF 18.

hi, we bought one about 6 months ago and we haven't regretted it at all, we use to have one of those heat exchange drink coolers for the soft drink while travelling but when the weather is hot your drinks are just cool and we could never leave the older type one running without the car going, now we have the new weaco drink fridge/freezer it's great, the power usage is low and we can leave it on for ages and we can set our temp and usually have it set at 3 deg and the drinks are always lovely and cold, and on a recent trip we even turned it into a freezer for on the way home for our squid and fish we had caught. and it takes 1.25ltr drink and water bottles which is also a donus, we paid $450 on sale for ours. and yes weaco have changed some of there compressors but i think you will find these ones are the danfross compressor the same as most of their bigger units. good luck from chris.

From the Waeco website. Clearly states CDF 11 is not Danfoss comp.

"The CoolFreeze compressor fridge/freezer range keeps your food and drinks cold or frozen, even in the blistering heat and owes its outstanding cooling performance to powerful Danfoss BDF compressors (excluding CDF-11/35/45 & CF-18). They are constructed with tough polypropylene plastic and most "

I bought one recently but haven't used it yet. Paid $367 at a Rays Outdoor sale. The fridge fits neatly behind the centre console in our landcruiser. Nice and handy.
