ANYONE KNOW THESE VANDALS IN HARVEY WA????

Suspected vandals caught on camera (IMAGES IN LINK)

Police want to speak to these men, caught on surveillance camera, about the vandalism.

Harvey police have captured images of several men who are believed to have caused hundreds of thousands of dollars damage to heavy machinery in the area.

The men used several pieces of machinery, including a back hoe and a front end loader, to damage dirt roads and vegetation in the Harvey Dam pine plantation on the night of February the 4th.

Police had set up a hidden camera in the plantation and recorded the offenders.

They caused about $200 thousand damage to four machines.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

I copied the above from another 4WD forum site as I thought the more we spread it the better the chance of the police finding them.

I just don't understand the mentality.

Someones got to know that head...Weird thing about it,looks like he knew the camera was there...

If caught they will only get a slap on the wrist or a very small fine...Wasting Police resources and probably ours.

River Swaggie, Whilst I disapprove strongly to what they have done. If you want the Rotan Cane used then I suggest that you pack your bags and move to Singapore. They have hangings there as well so I suppose you are in favour of that to.

Nothing at all wrong with hanging. No one who has been hanged has EVER reoffended. Cuts the crime rate right down. If we had a referendum, I suspect it would come back. Not much chance of it with our present so-called government.
I grew up in Harvey in the 1950s-1960s and I am saddened to read about such mindless destruction.

Tony, Do some research and see how many people have been executed only to be found innocent later by DNA or other means.
People say that prison is a holiday hotel, but I have never seen a queue outside of one waiting to get in.

Actually what needs to be done is bring back caning in schools and teach some of the kids nowdays some respect.

Six cuts with the cane around your backside or on the hand put the fear of god in you and you certainly were sheepish for a while after that.

Don't get me wrong the majority of kids nowdays are still respectful but I feel the percentage is getting less and less every year.

I deleted my profile after a clown abused me but still received emails for this thread. I had to register again and say my bit.

I agree with "T N". I wish you said your name though.

Bring back the cane into schools. I do not believe it hurt me beyond a few hours with a stinging bottom or hand. Yeah I had a few. I learnt quite well. Our sons the same.

Hanging and the death penalty are not such a bad idea. But very hard to be 100% every time. But why on earth do so many stupid courts give "warnings". An adult shouldn't get a warning. They know damned well its wrong to speed/burgle etc, so why let them off with a warning. Why let the mongrel who broke into our house and stole my wife's jewelry get off with a FEW HOURS cummunity work. I say "WATCH YOUR FINGERS" - CLANG. Lock them up.

I agree with corporal punishment in schools. It never did me any permanent damage. It only taught me respect for others. Vandalism has increased since canning in schools was stopped. We still have a form of corporal punishment here in Australia with spearing in some communities but I have always wondered what the outcome would be if the recipient of spearing were to sue the spearer with assault????
I must add that I am against capital punishment and a number of countries are very reluctant to deport offenders to the United States where capital punishment is still on the books. As far as I am concerned the countries that carry out capital punishment are no better that the offenders.

All i can say Mark is dont whinge and whine when your house gets hit..Whether it be once,twice or a third time..And happily pay the huge jump in your insurance bills...Oh can you pay the diff in mine too,and i haven't made a claim,because these arrrrseholes get let off time and time again.

Whether you approve or not it gets results,Our school system is out of control,Teachers being bashed weekly.It did not happen in my day..
Show no discipline early and when they grow up how are they going to respect Police..Your way DOES NOT WORK.

So let me get this straight River Swaggie. Because Mark disagrees with the death penalty and thinks Rotan caning is barbaric he is somehow therefore responsible for the lack of discipline in schools and society in general - not to mention break-and-enters and increasing insurance and a 'soft' judicial system to boot? Excellent piece of logical argument there. No right thinking person condones vandalism like this, and Mark certainly didn't.

The apparent lack of respect and discipline in some parts of modern Australia is far more complex than your simplistic analysis suggests. And if the solution was a straigtforward as you imply societies around the world would have implemented it.
