Yes it can be Aussie , but you need a GPS that can output a stream of NEMA format data and software like Ozi-exp.
Most of your popular little things can't do it these days.
Many people like me use the little mouse GPS as sold by this site think its called a BU-353.

Thanks RM, I have a mouse gps unit which is a Globalsat Data Logger that also has an external antennae that apparently works the same as the BU-353.

Aussiedingo;
Yes, didi it last weekend.
A bit of stuffing around (saved files to hard drive then uploaded via USB) as there is no DVD Drive; also had several goes to get it right (not copying some .ecw files and for some wierd, unexplained reason, it linked the Satellite raster .ecw file to the Natmap.map file) but persevered and finally got it right.
Benefits: works really
well and battery lasts much much longer than my Laptop
(on a week-long trip my reserve batery had trouble maintaining Firdge power and topping off the laptop: now that won't be a problem). Also far less cumbersome in the cabin of the whoopie.
Drawback: screen size (the 17-inch laptop was great) and the touchpad zoom function does not operate in OziExplorer.
Also, you have to load your Movies onto the e-book hard drive via an external hard drive (I often run movies on a Dataprojector onto a makeshift screen, on Club trips, but the e-book lacks a DVD Drive,)
Cheers and good luck!
