Could anyone tell me please if this model is the one where they recalled due to engine failure as i am considering buying.Is there anything i need to look out for on this vehicle. It is intercooled 3ltr turbo diesel. Thanks.

Yes Matt this is the model that had the issues. I had a GUIII (Nov 01 Build) in which they were supposed to have addressed them…they hadn’t! There are
well known issues with the motor blowing, usually around piston No. 4, and with the 5th gear splines not being long enough and shredding. I had both happen to me. If I were you I’d have a good look on the Patrol 4x4
forum or buy a vehicle where the motor has already been replaced (I sold mine a couple of months ago…sorry).

Yes. Series 4 and you are safe.
