Jayco Swan water tank

Hi All,
I have a 2010 jayco swan and for the life of me I cant find the drain plug on the water tank. How am I supposed to drain the water in there?
If anyone knows on my model where it is could you describe the location?
Cheers.

I imagine they would be the same tanks as the expandas. Mate has a 2010 model and mine's a 2009. Both the same. The drain plug is a knurled knob where the water filler inlet goes into the tank. Both of ours have a blue plastic washer to seal them.

Oh, yes... I seen that. I did try and give it a twist but it was very tight and to be honest i wasnt expecting it to drain from there. Thanks Landed Eagle.

Yep. Same on my 2010 Sterling. I found my filler pipes (The 40mm clear plastic ones) had algea in them after 6 mths so have removed them and changed the filling system to mains pressure through John Guest fittings and pipe and through a two stage water filter. Have also replaced the breather pipes with JG pipe as well. Cheers,Bob

If you have trouble getting the bung out then disconnect the pickup hose at the tank as it is usually @ the lowest point.

You can get a tap that will fit the thread of the bung making it easier next time.

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

There is a small screw in outlet that is available from most caravan supplies or Bunnings then just add an in-line plastic tap from garden irrigation.
You could probably get both from Bunnings just take the bung in with you for size and thread patern.
Another way is to put a T junction in pickup line near outlet and put an in-line tap just after T.
All fairly easy if you study your system and have a good think.
