I am planning a trip on the canning stock route travelling from Halls Creek to Wiluna leaving mid June. Was just wondering peoples opinion on how wet it is currently out there with the rain it has had and if barring anymore rain if it will dry out by mid June.

The top end of the canning can hold a lot of water, particluarly in the last stages (or in your case the first). I'd be keeping an eye on both the BoM Observations for Balgo Hills to see just how much rain has been falling. The other thing to do is check the road conditions on this site and also the WA roads site or shire of Halls Creek website. If the La Nina effect continues, it will be wet up there.

Cheers Mick

I am also planning to travel the Canning from Halls Creek to Wiluna in early June. Everything I have read so far appears to be a bit of wait and see but will follow your replies with interest.
