Can you actually get one??

I have had friends trying to buy one and can't get one locally and the stockists can't give a timeframe for anymore to be imported as the factory in Japan was knocked out :(

Cheers Kev

Do yourself a favour and look at the Yamaha 2000. Bigger motor, 1,000rpm less and importantly less fuel, and a bit quieter, and all the controls in one place.

If you can afford the extra 10kg in weight the Yamaha 2400 is a SENSATIONAL unit and the pick of the lot.

Just purchased a Honda 20 after having the Yamaha 2400 for 5 years. The Yamaha inverter decided it didnt want to play ball anymore. Wasn't worth fixing it, would have cost between $1200-$1400 to fix. Plus there were other minor things wrong as well.

Pretty dissapointed to get 5 years out of any item that probably got about 40-50 hours use each year.

2 year warranty with Yamaha and 5 years for Honda speaks for itself.

hi Cobber

that's a good price. I paid $1900 just over 12 months ago with the same package except they gave me a red dust cover not the black one that was advertised, the red cover was a far better quality with more padding to protect the unit while travelling

Hi All, thanks for the advise, I think its almost a con as the ad in the paper says that the price of $1899 is for purchases before 20/3/11, just noticed the small print!.......it might be a typo so will have to find out next week

Who did you order yours off? We are in the market for one.

We ordered ours through Midland Honda in Morrison Rd. Just looked at the price, sorry about the typo, it is $1599, not $1499, but still a good deal we think.

Good luck with it.

Cheers

We paid around $1700 a couple of years ago for our Honda 2kva with the silver cover, cable, ext warranty, 1L oil and free delivery. But we bought 2 at the same time for a better deal (one was for my mum and stepfather) from the Generator Place in Brisbane. (I have no affiliation with these guys and have never had to talk to them after the initial purchase)

If you know someone else looking to buy a genny then see if they will jump in with you to try to get a better deal.

We have had absolutely no trouble with our's over the last 3 years. You will not go wrong with either the Honda or Yamaha genny.

Good luck with your purchase

Cheers

I bought one for the same price but with the Honda thick cover & security cable from a Honda Dealer here on the Gold Coast just before Xmas. He matched the price of the Generator Place, but threw in the better cover as a bonus.
