Hi all,

SWMBO and I have finally reached Perth in our clockwise lap. Our faithful 100 series is in need of a 80,000km service, but I really don't want / can't afford to pay the sort of prices Mr Toyota's dealers see fit to charge.

Can anyone recommend a reliable place to have The Beast serviced north of the river in Perth?

I have read thread 74513, and will probably go to TLC if nothing else shows up, but closer to Gwelup (sp?) would be nice. :-)

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris,

I live in Gwelup and used to take my GU to Robson Brothers in Welshpool for servicing - not cheap but I found them to be reliable. Currently I take my 200 to Scarboro Toyota while it is still under warranty (and fixed price servicing - $180) and I have found them to be, suprisingly, particularly good.

I only have one fixed price service to go, but currently plan to stay at Scarboro Toyota due to the good work by them. I was initially skeptical of the cheap servicing and that they would cut corners, but to their credit it has been top notch.

Cheers

Captain

I agree with Scarboro Toyota. Get my 100S landcruiser serviced there. I found them very good, never had a problem. But you do pay the normal Toyota service rates. Guess you get what you pay for. Cheers

Thanks to all who offered suggestions. It's much appreciated.

I'll ring around tomorrow and see how their schedules are placed to see if I can get in before Easter.

Thanks again,
Chris

G'day again,

Firstly, the reply to nickb above should have been to all. Another senior moment??

Just to round off the thread, I made a couple of calls this morning with reference to the 80000km service.

Local Toyota dealer in Scarborough: $1200+
TLC ~$700.

Guess where I'm going? :-)

Cheers (and thanks again to all who made suggestions),
Chris
