Anyone see the Paul Lockyer / Landline special on Lake Eyre, outback floods etc last night on ABC. 2011 update on his specials from previous years. On late so don’t know if it was a repeat or not. Some breathtaking scenery, very interesting, definitely worth seeing. There was so much that happened with outback flooding over the last 2-3 years it was really just a snapshot - worthy of a series I reckon. Makes me want to get back out that way again this year………...Cheers

I think it was an rerun of an update. It didn't appear to me to include the current situation other than a bit on cyclone Yasi, but I had seen it all before and not that long ago.
Typical ABC. On weekends and holidays the material doesn't need to be relevant. It only needs to fill up space.

Paul Lockyer and the Lake Eyre have been synonymous with the later series of river floods, and even in the horrifying floods of Queensland. The series on Lake Eyre have been great. We bought one of the DVDs.
I have just checked and found I did a series link of recording Landline, so
too easy! Gives the Mystar system some value :-))
Paul Lockyer provides empathy with the people with a
well researched commentary.

Paul has a fuel dump at Mungerannie so hopefully we will get some new footage this year. Hopefully it's not all all about the boating ban but about the wicked season the desert is having and gets it out there for those who can't make the trip.
