Hi Ken,

We did this West to East just before Easter. The road had reopened after rain and the western side had been graded. The worst section was the NT side, corrugations and some softish sand in spots. Once into WA the road improved, with a few washouts, and a bit of water in the creek near Warburton.Check with Tjukayirla Roadhouse re the condtions around the Laverton side as they have had some recent rain (road is open again).

Regards,

Michael

G'day Ken, the road is mostly good, but with the ocaisonal washout and one bad section 40 km's west of us that is still holding alot of water, and has been badly chewed up. We had a couple of inches of rain last weekend, in a narrow band that fell between here and Laverton. Since that last rain though we have had good weather, drying the road up fast.
The Shire boys should start working on this section on Wenesday.
The road is still open to 4wd only from here to Laverton, but that may change tomorrow, and word is that it will open to all vehicles.

Drop in and say g'day on your way through :-)

Cheers
Al

G'day Carolyn, it is lookinggood at the moment, we had a couple of little showers over the last couple of days, but it has cleared up again now. We only had a couple of falls totalling 8mm so nothing to worry about.
Lake Throssel is still rough, but the graders have cleaned it up a little, so you won't have any probs there.
The graders are currently on the road heading back from the shire boundary to our East, and are on the way back towards Laverton, so it should be in great condition still by the time you come through.

Cheers

G'day Gary, road is in very good condition, with some corrugated sections. But mostly better than alot of bitumen highways :-) (weather permitting of course)
See you when you come through.

Cheers
