I think i would be looking for a used speedo with less ks on it before going to Nissan!! By the look at the link to the other guy, Nissan wont consider it if out of warranty, even just a few ks.. It may not be right but either is they way Nissan treat their customers. It appears you have to fight fire with fire.. Michael

I have had a few new Commodores between 1982 and 1999 and always found Holden to fix things that are outside of warranty. Holden will actually tell you that their warranty is not a fixed warranty but very flexible.. I guess Holden like repeat business unlike Nissan who think that there will always be some new sucker that will come along and buy there products... Michael

hi tuck
the nissan patrol forum would be the place to get the best advice on that
no doubt other owners on there would have had same problem and will point you in the right and honest direction

as for altering or tampering with speedo readings thats asking for trouble
cheats never prosper in the long term
it's very poor advice imho
and a lot of dealerships these days are owned by the same base company and use different trade names for each one in another town or locality and can refer to other dealer detail records of service where you bought it
you could easily be caught out on distance travelled since new .
cheers barry

Common problem.
My workmates patrol went at about the same distance. Sorry but he had no luck with a warranty claim.
