"If you are thinking of buying a Supreme Caravan... Don’t.
We bought a Supreme Spirit Caravan in October 2009, and it was a dreadful mistake. Since buying the van we have had problem after problem. The main one being the chassis, which has bowed 24mm. This has caused the furniture inside to buckle and the interior of cupboards to distort, this in turn makes them very hard to open. The roof has bowed inside the van and water pools on the roof.
All inside walls are buckled. There are to many other problems to mention. By accident I have found 2 other Supreme caravans with similar problems. How many more out there?
Supreme Caravan Manufacturer doesn't want to know us or to honour the guarantee."
We are fighting this and I would appreciate anyone who is in the same position to contact me. Thanks

How are people going to contact you joe?
You are not a Member so other Members can't send you a personal message.
Why don't you put up your full name and address and contact phone number?

I am not a member either, just a second class visitor, so at the risk of stating the obvious wouldn't others just reply to him by posting a reply here?

Blown4by.
We all started out as second class visitors to this site so don't worry about it.
And you're right, when others respond with likewise problems then Joe can take it further.
Cheers, Bruce

I have a Supreme caravan, and quite frankly I dont believe you. (unless you towed it off a 1metre ledge, but that would stuff any van)
My opinion is that you take (good) notice of Gone Bush's advice before you find yourself in too deep.

Mike 39; can understand your comment but not the inference per the link of getting in too deep.
Nothing will get you into trouble if you tell the truth and have not exagerated the facts, alll manufacturers should stand by their products without having to resort to the naming and shaming but unfortunately they do not as in Joe's posting where he states they do not want to know him.
Why would anybody write up the faults with his caravan and his treatment by the manufacturer if it is not true, like as in the bend in his chassis down to exact mm?

Colin.
I belong to a group known as STAGS. Owners of (Supreme) Spirit, Territory Aero and Getaway.
Within this group are many happy owners of the Spirit model, and when one looks at the specifications it becomes obvious.
The group has very good rapport with the manufacturer.
From my perspective there is more to this post than told.
I could be convinced if an independant (and reputable) person confirmed the claims made and the cause thereof.
Otherwise this is a defamatory statement.

Just because you belong to a group of happy owners means jack! By your reckoning if you havent personally seen a particular fault then it doesnt exist. You are calling him a liar. Thats a big call from someone who has never met the man, seen his van or have had discussions about his problem with the manufacturer. All he is after is people who have had similar experiences/faults. EVERY car, trailer, caravan, motorbike or motorcycle, regardless of make , have lemons! It is standard practice amongst most vehicle type companies to dismiss/deny a claim. It is not until push comes to shove that many of them actually carry out warrabty work. Bull bleep and
bluff have seen many a victim fix a problem that should have been carried out by a dealer. If Joe has a genuine problem then shame on the manufacturer and I daresay that he and others with a genuine grievance couldnt care less about how you get on with the manufacturer. I hope he has all the facts right and keeps us informed. Dont see many adverts from manufacturers saying sorry for producing something they know is a problem but were hoping no-one would notice. I am not going to judge Joe like you because I dont know all the facts. Hundreds of vans produced so the odds are that there are faults.
Cheers

Just an inquiry but could you list some of the roads and perhaps tracks you
have taken this van on, and how often.
Also is it and ONROAD OR OFFROAD chassis.

And is it the van manufactures problem or the manufacturer of the chassis.

Unlike others who obviously do not believe the original poster I am satisfied to accept the claim that the chassis is bowed. I consider that this is a prime example of what is wrong with the caravan industry generally.
Does it really matter who built the chassis, or the frame or whatever. When I buy a Ford or Holden and something goes wrong the dealers cannot - and do not - blame the particular supplier of the component at fault. Why is it so difficult for the manufacturer - in this instance Supreme - to acknowledge that there is a problem and try to sort it out.
A quick glance back at Rogues Gallery will show that chassis failure is a common gripe and yet like a lot of other issues it continues to happen.
Is it just a slackness in the engineering. Is it the quality of the product used or is it just due to cost cutting to stay in the price bracket.
Suggesting that the caravan has been mis-sused is just a ploy to shift the blame. Along the same line as refusing warranty on a failed a/con because the wheel bearings hadn't been serviced. It happened!
Warranty is a very big outstanding issue and yet it seems little is being done to try and rectify the problem.

I dont think asking where he has used it and what model it is is anything other than asking for more information.
There is almost always more to the story than posted and the more info supplied the better the answers.
Interestingly he has not reappeared, when if he was after replies you would think he would be monitoring the thread

Not much wonder after he gets called a liar. Didn't someone else say they knew of another owner with a drama?
Why would Joe ever want to join?

Yep had the same trouble but some more advice about how it got like that would help us ti help him.
Some are a bit over the top and here probably isnt the place to discuss it.
A lawyers office seems more suitable.
