Hi all, have been looking at getting a HF-radio for my 4x4 and I like the look of the Barrett 2050 HF, with the wireless functions, however I also like the Codan 3040 auto-tune antenna, it's smaller profile on the front of the car has alot of appeal. I guess what I'm trying to ask is, is is possible to run a Codan auto-tune with a Barrett HF set?

Thanks, Lachy.

The Barret 910 autotune is also quite small in comparison to the Codan 9350.

Technically anything that exceeds 75mm in diameter is illegal above the bonnet line anyway.

This is why Lachy would like to use the Codan 3040

Very compact

I would very much doubt it. Best bet would be to phone David Collins from H.F. Radio. He would be able to give you all the right advice
Contact details on his website www.hfradio.com.au

Hope this helps No affiliation blah blah blah

If it was possible as a plan, you'd be providing each manufacturer with the perfect 'out' in the event of a warranty claim or requiring technical support.
