My power figures from dyno
test on 3litre auto with 85000k are as follows
max torque=489nm @ 45kph
max power=68.4kw @62kph
motive force=1017.2lb@45kph
Anyone care to comment ,any other figures out there to compare ?

NOTE Nissan advises max torque =354nm@2000rpm and
max power=118kw @3600
I dont understand why actual max torque is so much higher than nissan specifies, can anyone assist,IS it a multiplyer effect due to gear changes ?

hi pepper2
in your first set of figures you quote nm and kw and motive force readings
but at what revs was the engine running????????????????
when those figures were given to you
how can you or anyone else on here relate to the comparison at the moment the figures dont compare
nissan stated max torque and max power and give the rpm's
but your dyno facts dont give rpm they give kph
it must have been on the screen surely
all you have given is the kph at which the figures relate too not rpm's
you need to clarify this so the thread can be related to in full
cheers

Hi Pepper
You need to have those figures normalized before they have any meaning.
The dyno bloke should give you figures taking into account your drive ratio , wheel diameter and at correct revs.
We know that the typical drive train loss is 30%.
So your 118kw should be around 83kw + - a few at 3200 rpm.
Torque at 2000 rpm should be in NM and around 250nm + - a few.
If they try and give you the story that tyre size is different and you get more loss or other nonsense go elsewhere.
Both my 4800's come in as per above at around 118kw from (180-185kw at flywheel)
