Were they stolen?

congrads -- can you please tell us how they got back to you ?? stolen and found by police ?? or via the posted website ?

They were stolen, and then dumped near by. A husband and wife were 'noodling' and found them dumped down the bottom of an open-cut opal mine. They were going to take them to the police station, but as the police station was closed they took them home with them that night with the intention of going to the police the next day.

That night they googled different search terms to see if they could come up with anything about lost/stolen/missing cameras. My original post here came up, and they contacted us. The policeman here in Andamooka had a chat to her to see if there was any point in doing forensics to try and catch them (no point), and work out the best way of getting them back. They've since been returned by COD Aust. Post.

Fantastic news Amy, you can replace most things but photos are one of the things you cant and especially with children you cant replace forgotten moments, Also a big thankyou from myself to the people who found it and chased it up to get the items back to you, Restores the human faith, Great news.
