hi, i have been trying to get a copy of the golden syrup dumplings for the dreampot, i had a folder full of dreampot recipes (years worth) with the original dreampot recipe booklet and the whole lot accidentally got thrown out by my daughter, and i am after a copy of the golden syrup dumplings which are in the dreampot recipe booklet as i've been wanting to make these again and i have asked the dreampot people for a copy of this recipe but haven't heard back from them, thanks from chris

Hi, this is an easy recipe that I found on the "net". I haven't tried it yet, but i'm sure there is not much that can go wrong.
Good luck.

GOLDEN SYRUP STEAMED PUDDING – THERMAL POT

1 Pkt vanilla cake mix
1/3C Golden Syrup
Margarine

Place trivet into large thermal pot. Put in boiling water. Measure that water comes up sides of steamed pudding bowl.
Place pot on stove ready for steamed pudding mixture.

Mix the cake mix as directed but add a dollop of golden syrup.
Grease a steamed pudding bowl with margarine and add a generous amount of golden syrup to base of bowl.

Gently pour in the cake batter, place a circle of greased proof paper on top and grease lid. Secure lid.

Place steamed pudding bowl into thermal pot tin with enough water to come up the sides.

Bring to the boil for about 10 minutes.
Place into outer thermal pot and leave for about 1 hour.
