Water pump cuts in and out

I agree with Stu, I did have that problem recently and it was the non return valve causing it. The valve had a build up calcium on the valve seat. Once I cleaned it off the problem with the pump cutting in and out was solved. Cheers

thats exactly what i have found
i used one of these for many years for farm spraying and quiet often didnt have pure clean water
and each time this problem occurred i;d pull it to bits and clean everything out with positive results no more on/off cycling
a leaking connection/pipe will also cause cycling due to constant drop in standby pressure
if using water from travel supplys and out of streams /wells etc it pays to draw the water though an inline filter
i used one of those 12mm that fit into garden retric systems easy to install inline and very easy to undo and clean when ever
can get then at the bunnings stores or any retric supplier

Yes, I would have a look at your joins for a minor leak. If you find one leaking, the hose may not be in place properly (about 27mm), the end may not be a clean cut, or the hose end may be chewed up a bit by being pulled on/ poor fit etc.
