We have a 2008 Jayco Sterling and are having problems with the water pump. It keeps cutting in/on even when we aren't using water. Is there an air lock? How can we fix it?
One friend suggested releasing the water in the HWS with the relief valve and it may release the bubble of air, if that's the cause. Doesn't seem to have helped. Should we turn on all taps (no water, just air) and maybe that would help?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Tina,
When pumps cycle like that it usually means you have run out of water or there is air in the line.
If low or no water is not the problem then it will happen if the pin hole to the pressure sensor in the pump is partially blocked, provided it has one.
I would go online and download a copy of the diagram of the pump internals just to see what the internals are like and whether that will provide any clues.
Is it a Shureflow or perhaps a Flojet??
Cheers, Bruce.
