My UHF antenna had the habit of vibrating loose from the bullbar mounted base, so I stuck some red loctite stuff on it, which has worked for the last couple of trips.
Now my antenna has broken, and as the loctite worked
well, it won't undo.
Any suggestions on breaking the grip?
Would a steadily increasing pressure be best, or a fast hit like an impact wrench would assert break the grip best?
Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian, I guess that you used Loctite Threadlock. It should release with a steady torque. If really necessary the application of some heat with either a heat gun or a gas flame would help.

I agree with Allan, just warm it up and it will be easy to undo! Michael

Thanks Al and Michael.
I tried some heat and pressure, but the whole antenna now spins in the base, so it looks like the loctite won and the thread receiver is stuffed.
May have to go shopping again.
Cheers
Ian
