Hi Everyone
My Hubby and I spent the entire day packing to take my class on an excursion to
Lightning Ridge. We will be travelling to
Lightning Ridge from
Grafton and we are staying at
lorne Station who have been fantastic. I hope my students get to see some of Australia and hopefully that will encourage them to see some more of our great country. I will be very tired when we get back
home on Friday but I hope it wil be all worth it.
If you see us say Hi we are travelling in a mini bus and we will be in our landcruiser towing a Tvan and the cruiser has an
Exploroz spare wheel cover. The school is St Andrew's Christian School.

One of the things I hope your students learn is that water is life and for so much of Australia water dictates just so much of the resultant ecology and land use of a region
It's a hard thing for coastal kids to understand, for most of them rain is a nuisance. Without those stock watering points graziers have introduced, the marsupial
population would be substantially reduced.

G'day Barbara
Good on you for taking the time and trouble to show the children something they probably never would, without you and your husbands efforts.
I can still remember going to pick up my daughter at 2am, after she returned from an excursion to Tasmania, The teachers were first off the bus, and I reckon one of them had a ciggie lit half way down
the steps, he was so strung out.
He told me the kids had behaved really
well, but he was anxious that things should go perfectly.
People like you and your husband deserve medals. Like I said, these kids may have never seen or experienced this ... my daughter is now 35, and hasn't had the chance to visit Tassie since that time.
You WILL be tired when you get
home, but I think you will be elated too!
Bless you, Dave

Hi Mrs Mac,
Yes, you may just plant the seed that will flourish and they will want to see more of this wonder country that we are so lucky to live in.
I hope you guys have a blast and I look forward to your trip report.
Safe travels.
Hairs
