does anyone know if the ferry on cooper ck measures the car/van from the wheel base or the entire length of the setup to allow access to the ferry, i know that the length is now 9.8m but my rig is 11.2m overall and i dont want to get turned back after hauling down the track that far.

length is length... it is the whole length..
you will get turned back.
There is a truck there that takes the long trailers across on its tray for $50.

hi brian s
and they state that the caravan/camper has to be connected to the tow ball of the tug as one unit - not individual

Why not just go up anyway. It's only a couple of hours from
Marree and worth a look. If you get on great, if not your one of a few to see a rare event.

Hiya Brian. I was the 4th vehicle to use the ferry this year and spoke to the fella who has brought the tour boat up for the
creek cruises and he told me face to face that he will charge $50 per trailer to take them across the
creek aboard the ferry....
He will of course sometimes be busy doing cruises but there will be times during the day where he offers the service of taking trailers across....
Just go,,, i think you will be fine...
