Hi All
A question for all those people that enjoy
camp oven cooks whilst enjoying our great country.
We are going to the Bendelby Ranges next week and we are going to have the old
camp ovens working overtime feeding everyone in our group, my question is can we peal slice dice chop some veggies for a stew and keep it on of those Clad press seal bags, and how long would they week for in the fridge.
Thanks Vern

That's a how long is a piece of string question Vern. It depends on what veg you are chopping, how clean your prep surface is, how cold you run your fridge, etc. Root veg should be ok for a week or at most two. Would it save that much time though? If you have that many people organize them into peel and dice teams. Root veg keep so
well in their skins it seems a shame to peel/dice and then have to
cook with inferior produce. Also potatoes, sweet potatoes, and onoins won't need refrigeration if you don't mess about with them.
